This fabulous antique Edwardian 9ct Gold Suffragette pendant was made circa 1910. It is decorated in creamy Pearls, a violet Amethyst dropper and a 1.60ct green Peridot in the centre.
Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine, their jewellery popularly consisted of Violet Green and White colours which were chosen to counter the stereotypes put forward by opponents that they were mannish or shrieking! Green is for Give, white is for Women and violet is for Votes.
The pendant is all set in Yellow Gold and complete with 9ct hallmark on the reverse. This is a lovely piece of Suffragette history, a true collectors piece that would look fabulous displayed on a Gold chain.
